We are a local grassroots nonprofit with a purpose of providing the community with fun events which can raise tax-deductible donations to support children and emergency human needs.
The “Cars that Care” Pine Car Derby celebrates “Having FUN on Purpose”. We’re inviting young & old to Main Street drag-racing in downtown Longmont!
The 7th Annual “Cars that Care” Pine Car Derby will be the SUNDAY, Sunday, sunday after Thanksgiving, November 29th! Weigh-in starts at 10:00 a.m. and the first race is at 12:00 High Noon!
Register Below or at ArtWalk at 332 Main Street; Saturday, September 12th between 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Design; cut, sand, paint, and add wheels & weight to your race car. May the best car win!
Build your cars with family and friends for some friendly head-2-head competition… no wagerin’.
Celebrating the tradition of Cruising Main Street in Longmont; Community Cares and Old Town Marketplace will host model car drag races on a 60-foot track with a timed finish line!

Who we are & Who we want to be…
We’ve been asked, why? You might ask why.
Why another nonprofit when there are good, solid organizations in our community managed by caring and capable people doing good work?
Because you become aware of people in our community unable to access existing programs due to necessary policies on substance abuse or behavior… some people remain needing a helping hand; a place to sleep on a frigid night, or perhaps a prescription filled.
Other times, an established organization may need help with raising funds or otherwise.
We want to help!
We are a local, grassroots 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization (#84-3182619) established by a few people wanting to; Have Fun… on Purpose! Creating and producing fun, community involved events to help raise tax deductible donations in support of children and emergency human needs.
Service is part of who we want to be!
What motivated you to extend compassion and care for someone else?
We all have our reasons and personal history that moves us to make a difference in someone else’s life.
When well-wishing people come together and commit a collective will and resources; onto solving issues, creating opportunities, we… create change!
